  • What's New?
This page lists the major updates done to the site. Please note that these are only the major updates. I will not use this page to mention minor updates, such as links added to links section, change of weekly poll, etc.

See the Coming Soon page to see upcoming projects on this site.

    February 24, 2004
58 new screen captures from The Lion King 1 1/2 DVD were added to the graphics area.
    February 18, 2004
3 new screen captures from The Lion King special edition DVD were added to the graphics area. This area is now for the most part complete, and I can devote my time to capturing the scenes from The Lion King 1 1/2.
    February 4, 2004
15 new screen captures were added to the graphics area.
    January 29, 2004
Some more promotional screenshots are linked to from the Lion King 1 1/2 page. Also, 17 new screen captures were added to the graphics area. (And, on a side note, as I've been going along, I've been cleaning up some of the sloppier screen grabs and replacing them with new.)
    January 28, 2004
The Lion King 1 1/2 page has been updated. Some promotional screenshots are linked to from the page now, as well as more general movie info (i.e. full song listing.)
    January 21, 2004
The Lion King 1 1/2 page has been updated: a picture was added and links to purchase the movie and GameBoy Advance game have been placed on the page as well. The character page's images have been changed so that some of the older choppier pictures have been replaced with newer versions. 24 new screen captures were added, so you can check them out in the graphics section. Lastly, all of the pages on the site have been updated with the new menu. Enjoy!
    January 19, 2004
I've redesigned the side menus slightly. They're less graphical, more table based. The old menus had a graphic for every link. These should let the pages load a lot faster. A new piece of fan art was added to the graphics area's submissions page.
    January 18, 2004
12 new screen captures to the graphics section. This leaves up to the father and son talk sequence complete. Everything after that is just partially captured.
    January 16, 2004
I've decided to give the "updates" section a little more exposure by posting it on the main page. A new artist has contributed fan art to the graphics area's submissions page.
    January 14, 2004
19 new screen captures to the graphics section. This leaves up to just before the "I Just Can't Wait to be King" sequence complete. Everything after that is just partially captured.
    January 12, 2004
I got better screen capturing software for my computer's DVD player (and not on limited trial period -- yay!), and added 17 new screen captures to the graphics section. I only got to get the opening (presentation) scene completely done, but I will be getting the rest of the movie captured over the next few weeks.

Well, I finally got fed up with Yahoo! GeoCities. After all those years volunteering for them and helping members with their pages, they were now restricting me. One of the "perks" of being a helper was I got special privledges in regards to my hosting. Well, it has gotten to a point lately that they were actually shutting down The Lion King Pride everytime I exceeded the bandwidth limits! With the traffic here, that meant like at least once a day. I've now joined the bandwagon, and am part of LionKing.org's hosting community. I had already hosted the TLK Alliance here (which had been given to someone else to manage about a year or so ago...), so I already knew how good the hosting was. Thank you to Brian Tiemann for hosting this site in it's new home! And because there's now a new home, I hope you all enjoy the new entry logo.

I added to the Little Known Facts page. These helpful clues were obtained from Disney Adventures magazine's The Lion King Collector's Issue. (Issued Fall 2003.)
    October 14, 2003
A lot more pictures were added today to the Pride Pics page. I've managed to get some screen captures from The Lion King special edition. This now just about doubles my pictures area. I've been busy on this since I received the dvd...3 days early! Note to self...order movies direct and get them sooner than others.

Well, the entire site is now switched to the new format *whew*. The hardest section was the massive links pages. I overhauled it, updated the old logos to match the site a little better, removed old dead links, and found a few more to add.
    September 26, 2003
The The Lion King 1½ page was updated today. This was due to Disney FINALLY releasing the "midquel"'s info on their site! It's about time. And, over the past few weeks more of the site has been changed to the new format.
    September 5, 2003
I'm getting better. :) Today, a new picture has been added to the graphics page. Also, more pages on the site were updated with CSS as mentioned in the below entry, and more header logos were redesigned. Oh, yeah, and I've found some more photos of the actors and actresses behind the voices, and have added them as well as some more updated filmography links (from IMDB) to the voices section. I've started on a tentative The Lion King 1½ voices page, which will be up when a more comprehensive cast list is released. Right now, however, you can view a smaller one on the general information page for The Lion King 1½, which was updated today.

Yet another long gap since I've gotten to enter anything on this page. In actuality, I just didn't get the chance to note that I've been in a process of overhauling all the pages on this site. I'm trying to cut out all the repetitive HTML codes by implementing CSS (cascading style sheets) onto the entire site. I'm almost done with this. It has been a long and painstaking process, as I've had to go through all the pages and remove the tags that are no longer needed. Hopefully this will speed up page loading times. As I've been going along, I've also modified some of the outdated header images on the pages to reflect the newer designs of the site. This is also long overdue. Finally, seeing as how The Lion King is going to be re-released onto video and DVD in October, I've updated the Pride Store with all the new merchandise that Amazon is putting out. Hopefully this will get even bigger, seeing as how The Lion King 1½ will be released direct to video in February.

The forum (message boards) was moved from the Delphi forums server to Bravenet. I did this not only for the point of having more control, but Delphi was getting a little crazy. In order for my visitors to post in my forum, they needed to become a member. The didn't charge for basic membership, but if you wanted to post pictures and stuff, or use HTML in posts, you needed to become a premium member (which costs a monthly fee.) I want services on my site to be free for my visitors, so I thought it best to switch to Bravenet. (And helps that they host other of my special services.) Check out the new forums here. (Please note that not all of the menu links to the forums on all the pages to the site have been changed to reflect the new link yet...most are still pointing to Delphi.)

Also, I moved the chat to Bravenet. (Click to go to the chat room.)

Be sure to keep an eye on the pages about The Lion King 1 1/2 (otherwise known as TLK3.) That page is being updated continuously...as new info is released.

I've finally weeded out the links section. Probably about half the links (or more!) were dead. Also, all pages on the site now have the new footer in place.
